Tri Tip



Ingredients:
  • 1.5 lbs tri tip
  • 4 tbsp low sugar steak seasoning (of choice)


Instructions:

Allow the tri tip to sit out until the surface is at near room temperature (to allow the steak to cook evenly). Season liberally with steak seasoning. Preheat a gas grill to 350-375 degrees (try to maintain this temperature throughout cooking). Place the tri tip on the grill in between the burners for 15 minutes while watching carefully for flare ups. After 15 minutes, flip and cook for an additional 15-20 minutes or until the meat reaches an internal temperature of 135 degrees. Remove from the grill and allow to rest for 10 minutes before slicing against the grain.

Macros: per 6 oz serving: 255 calories, 13.5g fat, 36g protein, 1g carbs, 1g sugar.
