Stuffed Bell Peppers



Ingredients:
  • 2.5 oz grass fed ground beef (80/20)
  • ½ tsp oregano
  • ½ tsp dried basil
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • salt to taste
  • ⅛ cup low sugar marinara sauce
  • 1.5 oz mozzarella cheese
  • ½ oz Parmesan cheese
  • 2 oz Ricotta cheese
  • 1 large green pepper.


Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Cut off the top of the pepper and hollow out the inside. In a small skillet over medium heat, lightly cook the beef and season with oregano, basil, garlic and salt. Mix in the marinara sauce and remove from the heat. Place half of the beef mixture on the bottom of the pepper followed by half the Ricotta cheese, half the Parmesan cheese and half of the mozzarella cheese. Repeat with the other half to create 2 layers within the pepper, finishing with the mozzarella cheese on top. Bake in the oven at 375 degrees for 20 minutes. Makes 1 pepper.
