Butter Steak

Ingredients: 

  • 1 12-oz rib-eye steak
  • salt and pepper for seasoning
  • 2 stems of rosemary
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • 1/2 stick grass fed butter
  • 2 cloves chopped garlic
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil


Instructions: 

Preheat the oven to 350. Lightly season the steak with salt and pepper and place in the oven for 15-20 minutes. In a iron skillet, melt coconut oil on medium high heat. Remove the steak from the oven and place into the coconut oil. Next to the steak, but not on top of, place the butter, rosemary, thyme and garlic. Allow the steak to cook on each side, flipping only once and occasionally spoon the oil and butter mixture on top. Once cooked to medium (about 5 minutes) remove steak from oil and pour remaining juices on top along with the rosemary and garlic. Let rest 10 minutes before serving.

Macros: per 8-oz serving: 460 calories, 48 g fat, 22 g protein, 0 carbs, 0 fiber, 0 sugar
